Nominate an exceptional woman

It is time to celebrate exceptional women of Diaspora, black women and women of color. Are you in admiration of the work, impact and engagement of someone around you? We want to celebrate them and can’t wait to hear from you.

Eligibility & Rules

EmpowerHer 2026 invites the community to nominate outstanding diaspora women for recognition in four award categories:

  1. Creative Innovation: Recognizing a woman who has significantly contributed to the creative or cultural industries, using her talent and innovation to inspire and bring change.

  2. Community Impact: Honoring a woman who has driven impactful social initiatives, advocating for the betterment of her community and creating opportunities for others.

  3. Entrepreneurial Trailblazer: Celebrating a woman entrepreneur who has built a successful business while fostering economic growth and empowering others through her leadership and vision.

    1. Any individual may submit a nomination.

    2. Each person may nominate only one woman per category.

    3. Nominations must be submitted through the official EmpowerHer 2026 nomination form.

    4. Nominations must include a short description of why the nominee deserves recognition in the chosen category

    1. Nominees must be women of the diaspora (living in Austria or internationally with visible contributions in Austria, that align with the categories).

    2. Nominees must demonstrate achievements or impact in the category for which they are nominated.

    3. Nominees may not nominate themselves.

    4. Past recipients of the EmpowerHer 2025 Awards are not eligible in any category, to ensure fairness and equal opportunities for new candidates.

    5. Nominees can only be entered into one category. If multiple nominations are submitted for the same individual across categories, the EmpowerHer Team will decide the most suitable placement.

    1. All nominations will be reviewed by the EmpowerHer Team for eligibility.

    2. Nominees’ names will be revealed shortly before voting begins. Nominees will be notified about their nomination

    3. The community will be invited to vote for their preferred candidate in each category.

    4. The nominee with the highest number of votes in each category will be awarded during Day 1 of EmpowerHer 2026.

    5. Fill out the below form to nominate someone for the 2026 EmpowerHer Award.

    6. If you agreed to be in the mailing list, you will be notified when the voting period starts so that you can support your nominees.

    1. Incomplete nominations will not be considered.

    2. EmpowerHer reserves the right to verify information provided in the nomination.

    3. The EmpowerHer Team’s decision on eligibility is final.

The nomination process for EmpowerHer Award 2026 has ended on 15.01.2025. Every nominations after this date will be considered for the next edition.
