Tayla Myree
Tayla Myree is a multidisciplinary artist, historian, and cultural worker based in Vienna. Their research-based practice traces Blackness, memory, and representation across European art history, museums, and public space.

Anna Gaberscik
Anna is an anti-racism trainer and activist, performer, writer and director. Her writing, as well as her other work, focuses on anti-racism and challenging patriarchal, heteronormative, and white narratives and discourses.

Wemimo
Wemi is a Viennese based Singer / Songwriter of Yoruba heritage is an artist of multiple talents. She studied Musical Theatre in Vienna (Austria) and began her years of extensive experience working internationally (as a vocalist, rapper, dancer, actress, moderator, painter and model).

Minitta Kandlbauer
Minitta is a trained photographer and book designer, born and raised in Vienna. Due to her multicultural upbringing, she loves capturing diversity and highlighting marginalized groups in her work.

Safira Robens
Safira Robens, is an actor who gained experience at the Berlin Schaubühne and in Portugal, where she was recognised for her roles as Wendla Bergmann (Wedekind) and Lady Windermere (Wilde). She started performing at the Burgtheater in the 2019/20 season and became a member of the ensemble in 2021/22.

Marjorie is a diaspora member, passionate about people, music and healthcare. She has been on diverse stages of the world, including the Vienna Conservatory of Jazz.

Fatima Sidibe
Fatima Sidibe is an experienced educator and dedicated trainer with a focus on diversity and intercultural education. With over 100,000 followers on Instagram she conveys knowledge under the name @africaandivaa about Africa and Black History.

Terhas Berhe
Ethiopian-born, Vienna-based photographer, filmmaker, and content & brand storyteller passionate about creating work that makes a
real difference. She is currently working with Light for the World but also exhibits her photographs and art pieces in museums and galleries across Europe. She has collaborated with international and local NGOs and development partners to tell stories ofconnection, change, and reslience. -
Henrie Dennis
Mag.art. Henrie Dennis is the Founder and Executive Director of Afro Rainbow Austria, a Nigerian born human rights activist, art curator, and cultural mediator who continuously works on improving the lives and realities of LGBTIQ+ communities in Africa as a continent, Austria and the diaspora. Dennis has been engaging with numerous stakeholders (architects, the City of Vienna, numerous sponsors) on “planet 10” a social project for the community.

Marie Edwige Hartig (Jaapo Linz)
Marie is the Chairperson of Jaapo, a non-profit organization that supports "Women of Color" in the exercise and enforcement of their rights in Austria. Cultural and media work is an expression of their approach, raising awareness, educating and empowering women of color and young people.

Esther Maria Kürmayr & Adaora Ofoedu (Schwarzefrauen Community)
Esther & Adaora lead the SFC, is an initiative of Black women* from a wide variety of backgrounds and nationalities who work together to promote and support self-confidence, self-determination, and self-organization among Black women, children, and young people.

Irène Hochauer-Kpoda ( Barka Barka NGO)
Irène is the chairwoman and co-founder of the BARKA BARKA association, an aid organization for Foroteon in Burkina Faso. She also serves as the special representative of the Burkinabè diaspora in Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, and the Czech Republic.

Christine Hax (Kenstria Agency)
Christine founded Kenstria Agency, a leading agency specializing in African-Austrian nurse recruitment. What began as a small initiative to help a few nurses find opportunities abroad has grown into a comprehensive recruitment and training agency that has transformed hundreds of lives and strengthened healthcare systems in Austria.

Rita Isiba (ZARA Zivilcourage)
Rita Isiba is the Executive Director of ZARA (Zivilcourage & Anti-Rassismus Arbeit), Austria’s leading anti-hate organization focused on promoting social cohesion and providing victim support. In this role, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives and campaigns to combat racism and discrimination.

KIDS OF THE DIASPORA is a movement brand founded by Leni and Cherrelle. It explores the concept of Diaspora as a universal home. The brand also features cultural spaces and fosters community connection through collaborative events.

Mireille Ngosso
Mireille is an anti-racism advocate who initiated the first-ever petition for a referendum against racial discrimination in Austria. She was an organizer of the Austrian Black Lives Matters protest that mobilized over 50,000 people in 2020, and thanks to her efforts, the City of Vienna will host an inaugural anti-racism conference in 2023.

Moumi Awudu (ALSO)
As a co-founder and board member of the African Law Students’ Organization (ALSO), Moumi has opened real doors for African and diaspora students to access legal knowledge, international networks, and career opportunities that often feel out of reach. Through projects like international moot courts, Europe–Africa academic exchanges, and hands-on capacity-building programs, she turns ideas into meaningful, lasting impact.

Gracia (ADOE)
Gracia is the co-founder of ADOE (African Diaspora Austria) a community of and for People of African Descent, created in Vienna in 2018, as the desire for a community for young people who feel they belong to the African diaspora. Every month ADOE organises regular community activities, giving them free rein to their creative ideas.

Mag. Araba Evelyn Johnston-Arthur, Ph.D.
In all her actions, Araba Evelyn Johnston-Arthur writes herself into a history of fighting gender-based discrimination and racism. Her work is significant for women in science, as Araba Evelyn Johnston-Arthur uses her research and curatorial practice to demonstrate the importance of promoting human rights and how this can be achieved. In particular, the rights of people who are marginalized in patriarchal societies which also was very visible through her curation of the Wien Woche 2025.

Co-founder of FreshVibes and editor-in-chief, Beverly is a freelance journalist focusing on the empowerment of people of African descent and serves as co-chair of an Austrian NGO for youth of African descent. She is also committed to women’s rights, grounded in intersectional feminism.

Within a very short peroid of few months Isabella has founded a complete business with her partner. As a (former) jurist she took a leap to acquire a new skill set as a baker and entreperneour. Chez Fritz is much more than a chique confisserie and coffe place in Vienna: It is also an important meeting spot for LGBTQAI+ people in Vienna.

Cyndi Laussegger Boulsa (Sheakaam Cosmetics, Klagenfurt)
With her partner, Cyndi has been dedicated to the production of unique natural cosmetics, which is based on her deep knowledge of shea butter. Sheakaam’s products combine the love for Africa and Austria: Pure shea butter, which is obtained in cooperation with women from Burkina Faso, that meets high-quality Austrian raw materials such as marigold oil and pumpkin seed oil.

Hermine Sambi and Jessica Ockiya (LOSO, Vienna)
Founded by Hermine Sambi and Jessica Ockiya, LOSO offers Afro-Fusion street food in combination with a subscription meal delivery service and catering. The concept of Lost is about highlighting the diversity that is reflected among the African dishes, but also the differences that exists among the cultures.

Otalia Sacko (Sawashea Greengold)
SaWaShea – The Green Gold for your Wellbeing was founded by Otalia Sacko and is a social enterprise selling handmade shea butter, produced by the women cooperative Wobeh. The idea for SaWaShea took-off, when the founder traveled to the northern region of her home country of Cote D’Ivoire to network with five cooperatives producing shea butter.
